Isaiah 40:6 (KJV)

“The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:”

Context: In Isaiah 40, the prophet speaks words of comfort to the exiled Israelites in Babylon. The chapter opens with the famous passage, “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.” The specific verse, Isaiah 40:6, reads: “A voice says, ‘Cry out.’ And I said, ‘What shall I cry?’ ‘All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.'” This verse emphasizes the fleeting nature of humanity in contrast to the eternal word of God’s promise.

The Crocus

The crocus flower has various colors, such as white, yellow, purple, and pink. Its main meanings are rebirth, cheerfulness, and devotion. It also symbolizes youth, innocence, and pleasure. The crocus flower blooms early in spring and signifies new beginnings and happiness. However, the meaning can change depending on the color of the flower. For example, white crocus can mean purity, while blue crocus can mean sadness.
