James 3:17
” But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. “
Context: James 3:17 is found in the New Testament of the Bible. It is within a passage where the author, traditionally identified as James the Just, addresses the importance of wisdom and its characteristics. Specifically, James 3:17 elaborates on the qualities of heavenly wisdom, emphasizing that it is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. This verse is part of a larger discussion on the power of the tongue and the contrast between worldly and godly wisdom.
