Embracing the Gift of Salvation

“Salvation is a free gift. An empty hand must accept it. A hand that still grasps the world tightly can’t accept it.” ~ A.W. Pink
“The greatest enemy to human souls is the self-righteous spirit which makes men look to themselves for salvation.” ~ Charles Spurgeon
“The ultimate salvation that any human being can ever experience is rescue from the wrath that is to come.” ~ R.C. Sproul

This step of faith means moving from relying on yourself to fully trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Choosing to follow Him requires walking the ‘narrow road.’ This path leads to true joy, purpose, and peace that the world can’t give. It’s a commitment to live by His teachings and align your life with His will. The ‘narrow road’ is different from the ‘broad road’ that many take, which often focuses on temporary pleasures and distractions. While the ‘broad road’ seems easy at first, it ultimately leads to spiritual emptiness and separation from God.
In contrast, the path you have chosen offers greater rewards that are eternal and immeasurable. It strengthens your relationship with God, gives you meaning and direction, and promises eternal life with Him. The journey does have challenges, but they are overwhelmingly outweighed by the countless blessings. You will find profound joy along the way. Remember that every trial you face serves a purpose; it shapes your character and deepens your relationship with God.
Below are 30 Bible verses. They beautifully remind you of God’s unwavering love and his eternal promises. These verses highlight the steadfast faithfulness that surrounds you as you grow in your faith. These verses will not only uplift your spirit. They will also encourage you to embrace every moment of your journey. Even the difficult ones are opportunities for growth and spiritual enrichment.
